Midnight Garage Co.

Midnight Garage Co. is a curated 1:64 and 1:18 diecast store I own and run. It is not a Shopify tenant: the storefront is a custom build, which means every decision about how a product is found, indexed, and presented was one I had to make rather than inherit.

The catalog is 201 models across nine makers — Mini GT, Tarmac Works, Pop Race, Inno Models, GT Spirit, Otto Mobile, BM Creations, Minichamps, Spark — filterable by marque across 33 manufacturers, by maker, and by scale. Because mintage matters to collectors, the sort offers Rarest first alongside price and name, and limited runs carry their production numbers on the card.

The engineering that matters is in the build step. All 200+ product pages are prerendered with their own title and description baked into each page, so every model is independently indexable instead of hiding behind client-side rendering. Product images are mirrored onto the site's own origin rather than hot-linked from suppliers, which removes a third-party dependency from every page load.

The curation is the product. Nothing is listed to fill space.
